1 Dead 8 Injured in Blast by Terrorists Targeting Security Forces in Pakistan’s Peshawar

One personnel of paramilitary forces was killed and eight others, including two civilians, were injured in a blast that targeted a vehicle of security forces in Peshawar in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday morning.

A vehicle of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Frontier Constabulary’s (FC) Mohmand Rifles regiment was targeted by the terrorists at around 10:30 am (local time), reported Dawn. An improvised explosive device (IED) was used in the attack.

The vehicle was traveling to Peshawar from Machni at the time of the blast.

Terrorist outfit, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claimed responsibility for the attack.

A few days back, nine security personnel died and 17 others were injured in a suicide bombing in Mali Khel area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
