100 Kg Ganja Eaten up by Sheep Herd in Greece

A herd of sheep ate up around 100 Kg of cannabis grown in a greenhouse at Almyros in Thessaly, reported Newsweek.

After Storm Daniel hit Greece, the sheep took refuge in the greenhouse. While there the sheep herd chewed up a hefty stash of medical cannabis growing inside.

The shepherd found that the sheep were behaving strangely after consuming the cannabis.

Farm owner Yannis Bourounis told a local radio producer: “They found green stuff to eat” and “jumping higher than goats, which never happens,” Newsweek reported.

Growing cannabis is legal in Greece for medicinal purposes since 2017. In 2023, the country inaugurated its first-ever medicinal cannabis production plant.
