364 Kg Ganja Smuggled from Odisha in Ambulance Seized in Chhattisgarh, 1 Arrested

Raipur: A youth was arrested for smuggling over 364 kilograms of cannabis in an ambulance in Raipur of Chhattisgarh.

Late Wednesday night, a Raipur police team intercepted the suspicious ambulance at the Amanaka police station limits. During the search, over 364 Kg of ganja was unearthed from the ambulance.  The seized contraband is worth around Rs 36 lakh.

A person named Suraj Khute (22), involved in the illegal transportation of the contraband was arrested.

During the interrogation, the arrested accused revealed that he had procured the marijuana from Odisha. Further probe is underway to unearth the ganja smuggling network.
