4 Couples in Odisha’s Kendrapara Name Their Newborns Chandrayaan to Mark India’s Successful Moon Mission

Kendrapara: Parents of four newborns, who were born at the district headquarters hospital of Kendrapara on Wednesday, have decided to name their babies Chandryaan. The birth of these babies coincided with the successful lunar mission of ISRO to land on the moon’s South Pole.

These newborns include three boys and a girl.

According to reports, Arati Mallick of Aripada village gave birth to a boy at 6.04 pm on Wednesday (Aug 23, 2023) at Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) while Chandrayaan-3 was successfully landing on the Moon’s surface.

Her overjoyed husband, Pravat, lost not time in naming him ‘Chandrayaan.’

Joshnyarani Bal of Nilakanthapur and Bebina Sethi of Angelei village also named their newborn sons Chandrayaan, while Durga Mandal of Talachua village named their baby girl a sper the lunar mission of India.
