Odisha Govt Hikes Daily & Retainer Fees of Non-Cadre Law Officers by 50%

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday increased the daily and retainer fees of Non-Cadre Law Officers by 50 per cent. This will benefit 1,215 law officers handling litigations in various courts.

As per the hike, 184 Additional Public Prosecutors who are working on daily fees will get Rs 1,875 compared to the Rs 1,250 they were getting earlier. Their retainer fee has been increased from Rs 8,200 to Rs 12,300.

The 740 working Assistant Public Prosecutors who were getting Rs 1,100 as daily fees will now get Rs 1,650. Their new retainer fees will be Rs 6,000. They were earlier getting Rs 4,000 as retainer fees.

Eighty-five Special Public Prosecutors who were previously getting Rs 1,250 as daily fees will now get Rs 1,875. Their retainer fees have been enhanced to Rs 12,300 compared to Rs 8,200 they were getting earlier.

Twenty-nine Government Pleaders and 113 Assistant Government Pleaders who were previously receiving Rs 8,200 as retainer fees will now receive Rs 12,300.
