Odia Film Director Sudhakar Basant Critical After Car Crash In Odisha’s Choudwar

Cuttack: Renowned Ollywood filmmaker Sudhakar Basant suffered severe injuries today as the vehicle he was travelling in collided with a truck near Manguli Square in the Choudwar area of Odisha’s Cuttack district.

The incident occurred early this morning when the car, in which Basant was a passenger, collided with a truck loaded with cement that was parked along the roadside. The collision resulted in extensive damage to the ill-fated vehicle.

Both Sudhakar Basant and the car’s driver sustained serious injuries in the accident, with the impact causing significant damage to the vehicle. The two individuals were trapped inside the mangled car for a considerable period.

Upon receiving information about the incident, personnel from the Fire Services promptly arrived at the scene and successfully rescued Basant and the driver from the damaged vehicle. Subsequently, the injured victims were admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for necessary medical treatment.
