Bhubaneswar: Laxmisagar police have made significant strides in the ongoing investigation into the Chintamaniswar murder case. The police conducted a targeted raid at a lodge in Cuttack, resulting in the arrest of four additional suspects believed to be connected to the case.

Earlier this week, law enforcement authorities had already taken two individuals into custody, including the prime suspect identified as Kanha Pradhan alias Pinku, and his girlfriend, Niharika. The victim, identified as Anjan Behera met his unfortunate demise following a brutal attack on March 15th, which stemmed from a complex romantic entanglement.

According to reports, Anjan and his friend Goutam had visited a young woman after attending a party. However, the encounter took a violent turn when Pinku, another suitor vying for the affections of the same girl, wielded a sword, gravely injuring Goutam. Tragically, in an attempt to shield his friend, Anjan sustained fatal wounds during the altercation.

Anjan’s grieving mother lodged a formal complaint at the Laxmisagar Police Station, prompting a swift and thorough investigation into the matter.
