Two Youths Killed as Their Bike falls Off Bridge in Gajapati Dist

Paralakhemundi: Two youths died when their bike hit the side wall of a bridge and fell off it in the R Udayagiri block of Gajapati district on Tuesday.

The deceased in this accident that took place near Dumba Park under R Udayagiri block, were identified as Mantu Pal and Tukuna Singh of Chheligada village.

Mantu and Tukuna were migrant workers serving outside the state. They had recently returned to their village.

While negotiating a sharp turn on the road, the bike driver lost control of the vehicle that hit the wall of the bridge. Both youths as well as their bike fell into the water from the bridge. One of them died on the spot while the other was rescued in critical condition. He was also declared dead at the Chandragiri Community Health Centre (CHC).

Police seized the bodies for post-mortem and have started an investigation into the accident.
