Vishnu Deo Sai To Be Sworn In As Chhattisgarh CM On Dec 13, PM Modi To Attend

Raipur: Vishnu Deo Sai, a tribal leader and former Union Minister, is set to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony at Raipur’s Science College ground, joined by Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and other prominent party leaders.

Sai, a four-term MP and close associate of former Chief Minister Raman Singh, is considered a choice aligned with the party’s ideological mentor, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). During a pre-election rally last month, Amit Shah hinted at a larger role for Sai if the party secures victory.

The BJP asserts that Sai is the first tribal Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, emphasizing his non-controversial image and organizational capabilities. Former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi’s tribal status has been a point of contention, with the BJP challenging it in the Chhattisgarh High Court, leading to an ordered examination by a committee.

The oath-taking ceremony will witness significant political figures, reflecting the party’s support for Mr. Sai’s leadership in the state.
