Haryana Woman Involved in Rs 4 Cr Cyber Fraud Escapes from Police Custody in Running Train

Chandigarh: A 24-year-old woman from Faridabad named Saniya alias Gudiya alias Sofia Siddique, who was arrested on February 17 in connection to a Rs 4 crore cyber fraud case, escaped from police custody while she was being taken to Pune from Haryana on a train.

was arrested from her home in Haryana’s Faridabad on February 17 in connection with a cyber fraud of Rs 4 crore, she allegedly committed in Pune.

A team of Pune police arrested her and was taking her to Pune by Duronto Express when she escaped from their clutches. At around 4.10 am on Sunday, the woman managed to free her hands from handcuffs, dodged the guarding constables and fled from the train.

The Pune police team realised that she had escaped when the train reached Ratlam station.

Investigation hints that she has reached Kota, where a complaint was lodged in the matter on Monday.
