Live Pangolin Rescued in Nuapada, Six Wildlife Smugglers Arrested

Nuapada: During a joint raid by forest departments of Odisha and Chhattisgarh, a live pangolin weighing 11.2 kg was rescued from a house at Jhankarguda village in Sinapali block in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Tuesday. Six wildlife smugglers involved in the case were arrested.

The forest officials also seized three motorcycles from the possession of the arrested persons. The Forest Department has initiated an investigation to identify and arrest other persons involved in this pangolin smuggling racket.
