Pick-up containing Mahula seized, 2 arrested

Khaprakhol: It is reported that two accused were arrested on Friday along with a bolero pick-up loaded with mahula (Madhuca latifolia L.) by the vigilance department during an illegal sale of mahula in Nagenamal village of Khaprakhol block Baghamund Panchayat.

According to the information, the vigilance department got the information and raided the illegal mahula flower market.

Patnagarh vigilance department officer Satyanarayan Das said that Narendra Meher of Ahirana village and Dahita village under Budden police station of Bargarh district was arrested on the charge of driving a Bolero pickup number (OD 17H9886) carrying 15 quintal mahula. Officers and employees of Patnagarh, Kantbanji, and Titilagarh vigilance departments were involved during the raid. It has been reported that a case has been registered at Patnagarh Police Station.
