Celebrities Drink Black Water that We Cannot Afford

Sparkling clean safe drinking water is a dream for most commoners. But celebrities have started to drink a kind of special bottled water that is murky black in colour. The minimum cost of a bottle of this black water is Rs 100. As per the brand and source, the price of this black water may rise up to a few thousand rupees per liter.

Celebrity choice:

India’s star cricketer and former skipper Virat Kohli, celebrities like Karisma Kapoor, Shruti Haasan, Malaika Arora, Gauri Khan, Urvashi Rautela, Kajal Aggarwal, Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra etc are hooked to black water bottles. Celebrities are often spotted with bottles of black water. Some of them do not shy away to share their pictures of consuming the same.

Fulvic minerals:

Black water is also known as black alkaline water. As the name suggests although transparent this water has blackish hue. Its blackish colour is due to the presence of fulvic minerals, which are found in the earth’s deep crust. Fulvic materials are formed by the metamorphosis of plant remnants that have decomposed for thousands of years.

Celebrities consuming black water claim that it is the most effective medium to keep the skin radiant, healthy, and hydrated. Apart from containing added minerals, this water is alkaline with Ph of 8+. It reduces acid buildup in the body.

Reality or fad:

This water is said to be having anti-aging, immunity enhancing properties.

But several medical experts feel consumption of black water may just be a new food fad. A few studies have reported the health benefits of black water. But till now there has been no major human study to prove the same. Yet companies are selling it like hotcakes through marketing gimmicks. Except for the extremely rich, this special water is out of reach of all. For the commoners like us, it would be better to drink a lot of normal water to stay healthy.
