Rajya Sabha Monsoon Session 2023: Dates Announced, Legislative Agenda Set

New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha has been scheduled to convene for the monsoon session of Parliament from July 20 to August 11, as announced by the Upper House secretariat. The session, which will comprise 17 sittings over 23 days, is expected to focus on a substantial legislative agenda set by the government. The session aims to encourage productive discussions on various matters.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi confirmed the commencement date of the monsoon session, urging all parties to actively participate and contribute constructively to the legislative and other business during this period.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament building on May 28.

With the government presenting its legislative priorities, the opposition parties are gearing up to challenge the government on multiple issues. The session is expected to witness robust debates and discussions on a wide range of topics.
