4 Dead 5 Injured in Soap factory Explosion in UP’s Meerut

Lucknow: At least four persons died and five others were injured in an explosion in a soap factory in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut on Tuesday morning. A few houses in the locality were also damaged in the blast.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased and instructed the district administration to facilitate proper treatment of the injured.

Four persons died after getting trapped in the debris of the destroyed soap factory. The deceased were suspected to be labourers employed by the factory.

Initial probe hints that the explosion might have occurred due to some fault in chemical mixing. Forensic experts are investigating the reason behind the blast.

A few houses adjacent to the factory were damaged and the windowpanes of a school were shattered by the blast in the soap factory.
