Pro-Khalistan Canada-Based Rapper Shubh’s India Tour Cancelled by ‘BookMyShow’

New Delhi: Canada-based Punjabi singer and rapper Shubh’s India Tour was cancelled by BookMyShow following his alleged support for ‘Khalistan’.

BookMyShow app took this decision bowing down to Indian sentiments as it faced a boycott call on social media for promoting a Khalistani supporter singer. This ticket booking app was the sponsor of Shubh’s India tour.

Punjabi singer and rapper Shubhneet Singh is popularly known by his stage name ‘Shubh’.

BookMyShow in a post on X, announced that the singer’s “Still Rollin India Tour” has been cancelled. The company said that it will do a complete refund of the tickets within 7-10 days.

Earlier in the day, the ticket-booking app faced a boycott call on social media for hosting a singer who is allegedly a Khalistani sympathiser. A #UninstallBookMyShow was trending on X.

This followed a diplomatic row between India and Canada after Canadian PM Justin Trudeau alleged New Delhi’s hand in the killing of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
