Suicide Blast in Pakistan Kills 3 including a Policeman and a child

Three persons including a policeman and a child died when a suicide bomber detonated explosives tied to his body in Baleli area of Quetta near Pakistan’s Balochistan on Wednesday. The suicide attack had targeted a police truck.

At least 23 others including 20 policemen were injured in this sudden blast. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.

Three vehicles, including the police truck, and two nearby cars were damaged in the explosion.

As per Pakistan media reports, the suicide blast near the moving police truck toppled the vehicle that fell into a ditch. A rescue team and bomb disposal squad rushed to the blast site.

As per initial investigation around 25 Kg of explosives was used in this blast.

Quetta DIG Ghulam Azfar Mahesar confirmed that it was a suicide attack as they found remains of a suicide bomber at the site, reported Geo News of Pakistan.

According to The dawn, the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack. This militant group has asked its terrorists to carry out attacks across Pakistan, the report said.
