Woman Torches Two Minor Daughters and tries to End Life

Chittoor: Disturbed by bad marital life, a married woman allegedly set ablaze her two daughters, aged 5 and 7 years, and tried to commit suicide in Ramasamudram Mandal of Chitoor district in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

According to sources, this woman named Lalithamma was mentally disturbed when her husband left her. Luckily the woman could be saved by locals who saw her trying to end her life, said investigating officials of Ramasamudram police station.

The injured woman as well as her two daughters with serious burn wounds was shifted to a local hospital for treatment. Both children are battling for life. Meanwhile, police have registered a case and have started an investigation into the sad incident.
