Woman Journo Assault Case: Ollywood Producer Tutu Nayak’s Bail Hearing Deferred to November 8

Bhubaneswar: The bail hearing for Ollywood producer Sanjay Nayak, also known as Tutu Nayak, in connection with an alleged incident involving a woman journalist, has been rescheduled to November 8. The Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court in the area has decided to postpone the hearing and has requested access to Nayak’s case diary and previous records, according to reliable sources.

Nayak, who was arrested by the Twin City Commissionerate Police on November 4, is accused of slapping and behaving inappropriately towards journalist Debasmita Rout at a cinema hall. Following the rejection of his bail plea, he was presented before the SDJM court and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

The Kharavela Nagar police have filed a case against Nayak under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 294 (obscene acts or words), and 354 (outraging the modesty of a woman).
