Google Pixel Tablet ‘Pro’ May Come With Tensor G2 Chipset

San Francisco: The next Pixel Tablet from tech giant Google will reportedly come in a Pro version with a Tensor G2 CPU.

The tech giant has supposedly started working on a tablet using the original Tensor processor, but this project was later allegedly shelved as the company started working on a tablet using the Tensor G2 chip instead, claims leaker Kuba Wojciechowski, according to Android Authority.

The Pixel Tablet is anticipated to be the first tablet, and the Pro variant, which could also come to the market this year, is anticipated to be the second.

The leaker also stated that the chip powering the two devices is likely the only distinction between them.

The Google Camera Go application’s code contained a device dubbed “TangorPro,” which Wojciechowski found last month.

“TangorPro” strongly suggested a Pro version of the Pixel Tablet because “Tangor” is thought to be the codename for the device.

In the meantime, information on the impending Pixel Tablet and its charging speaker dock has leaked on Facebook Marketplace, a place where users can buy and sell goods.
