Mumbai: India’s top corporate head and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani received another threat through email. According to police sources, the unidentified person demanded Rs 400 crore from the industrialist.
The office of the Ambani group received the email on Monday. It is the third threat email received by the Ambani group in four days.
The first threat email was received on Friday and in it the unidentified miscreant had demanded Rs 20 crore. An FIR regarding it was registered at Gamdevi police station in Mumbai.
It was followed by another threat mail on Saturday with a demand of Rs 200 crore. In the third email received on Monday, the sender doubled the demand amount to Rs 400 crore.
The Mumbai police, their crime branch and cyber teams are investigating to track down the sender of these threatening emails.
In 2022, a man from Darbhanga in Bihar was arrested for making similar death threats to Mukesh Ambani and his family.
