Tiger Spotted in Odisha’s Gajapati District!

Paralakhemundi: A tiger is reported to have been spotted through the trap cameras in the Mahendra forest area of ​​Gajapati district.

Evidence of the presence of the big cat was captured by two of the five trap cameras installed by the forest department.

As per the initial assumption of the forest department officials, this tiger may be about five feet in height with a length of seven feet. The forest department has not yet revealed the pictures from the trap cameras.

The forest department has decided to form five special teams to keep track of this tiger. Forest officials including Parlakhemundi Forest Division ACF have reached the spot for investigation.

The Forest department has started a public awareness drive requesting people not to venture out at night. Villagers of around 50 villages have been advised through public address systems to keep their cattle in closed enclosures during the night because of the tiger scare.
