Odia Man Selling Ganja Chocolates Arrested in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A man from Odisha selling marijuana-laced chocolates to migrant labourers and students was arrested in Hyderabad.

The accused identified as Ananta Kumar Barak, who runs a small shop, was nabbed while he was selling ganja chocolates in Balanagar area on the Hyderabad outskirts under the limits of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

During the raid, Balanagar police seized 140 ganja chocolates from his shop.

According to Hyderabad police sources, the arrested man was selling each 5 gram ganja laced chocolate for Rs 20. Each of them contained 14 per cent cannabis leaf extract.

During the intensified anti-drugs drive in Telangana, police have seized seized ganja-laced chocolates at various places in Hyderabad. Shops in the vicinity of schools were also found selling these narcotics-laced chocolates.
