China is Protecting 26/11 Culprits in Pakistan’s Interests

Because of China’s stubbornness, four top terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) that was the mastermind of 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai are saved from UN sanctions. China has always defied opinion of other members of the Security Council to take stringent action against these terrorists.

Fourteen years back Mumbai terror attack which was planned and controlled from Pakistan had claimed at least 166 people. But China has turned blind towards these terrorists only to keep Pakistan under its fold.

The four from LeT who were saved from UN sanctions this year because of China included LeT commander Sajid Mir, who was the brain behind the 26/11 attack; LeT’s deputy chief Abdur Rehman Makki; deputy chief of the LeT’s frontal organization Falah-I-Insaniyat Foundation Shahid Mahmood, and LeT commander Hafiz Talha Saeed, the son of LeT head.

China has also stopped sanctions on Jaish-e-Mohammed’s deputy leader Abdul Rauf. This terrorist organization is also involved in several terror acts in India and it has its base in Pakistan.

Through these acts, China has shown up its anti-India and pro-Pakistan stance. In the changed world scenario, China wants the support of Pakistan. And terrorists play an important role in Pakistan’s politics.

Hinting at China’s dubious role in stopping UN actions against Pak terrorists, Ruchira Kamboj, India’s permanent representative remarked, “Our efforts to sanction the perpetrators and facilitators of these terror attacks were blocked in the past for political reasons.”
