‘Tantric’ Woman Gets Life Imprisonment for Killing a Boy and Drinking His Blood

Lucknow: A 33-year-old woman was punished with life imprisonment by a court in Bareilly for murdering a ten-year-old child and drinking his blood.  The victim was the son of a neighbor of the convicted woman, who resorted to this ghastly act as part of her superstitious tantric rituals.

The superstitious woman believed that such action will enable her to conceive a child.
Her lover and cousin had helped her in the crime. Both of them were also sentenced to life imprisonment by the court.

According to reports, the ghastly incident took place at Jamuka village under Roza Police Station of UP on December 5, 2017. The convict Dhan Devi kidnapped and killed her neighbour’s son with the help of her lover Suraj and cousin Sunil Kumar. Three days later, police arrested her.

Even after marriage, she had failed to conceive. She had approached a self-proclaimed tantric, who had advised her to do the gruesome murder of the child to beget a son.

The deceased boy’s family had demanded a death sentence for the accused.
