Lightning Strikes Coaching Centre in Nirakarpur, 5 Students & Teacher Injured

Bhubaneswar: At least six persons, including five students and their teacher, were injured when lightning struck a coaching centre in Nirakarpur on Friday evening.

All injured persons were admitted to the Khurda district headquarters hospital.

On Friday evening a thunderstorm occurred in the area. At that time, a group of children were studying at a coaching center at Nirakarpur College road.

According to sources, lightning struck a tree near the coaching centre and then impacted the coaching centre.

The students and their tutor inside the coaching centre were injured by the lightning. According to hospital sources, all injured persons are out of danger.
