TPCODL Restores Power Swiftly After Kalbaisakhi Storm Hits Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The recent Kalbaisakhi storm that struck Bhubaneswar on June 8 caused significant disruptions to the city’s electricity infrastructure, leading to power outages and inconvenience for residents. In response, TP Central Odisha Distribution Co Ltd (TPCODL) promptly deployed its skilled workforce to restore power supply in the affected areas.

The committed ground staff and engineers from TPCODL worked tirelessly to rectify the impacted network, ensuring relief for over 6 lakh customers in the affected regions. Thanks to their swift action, crucial establishments such as hospitals, railways, and administrative centres had their electricity restored within a matter of hours.

As of 6:45 pm yesterday, approximately 90% of the 33 kV feeders were successfully restored by TPCODL. The dedicated team also conducted thorough patrolling and cleared feeders of fallen trees on a war footing, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the restored power supply.
