WhatsApp Rolls Out Tablet-Only ‘Side-By-Side’ Feature To Beta Testers

Bhubaneswar: According to reports, a new “side-by-side” feature for Android tablets is being rolled out for some beta testers by Meta-owned WhatsApp.

According to WABetaInfo, this feature will provide users more control over the WhatsApp UI on their Android tablets by allowing them to navigate between conversations without losing track of their ongoing chats.

The side-by-side view can also be turned off by users by switching the setting under WhatsApp Settings > Chats.

The screen is divided in the side-by-side mode, which may leave less space for each discussion, especially for smartphones with smaller screens.

Users have the option of turning off the side-by-side view in order to have a wider conversation interface. They would be able to speak with friends and family on the platform in a bigger, more immersive way thanks to this option.

Additionally, the report stated that the feature will be made available to even more users over the next few days.

In the meantime, WhatsApp has announced that its multi-device login functionality will now allow users to log in with the same WhatsApp account from multiple phones.

Now, users can connect up to four other devices, including their phones.

According to the corporation, this update has begun rolling out to users worldwide and will be accessible to everyone in the upcoming weeks.
