3 Maharashtra Men Smuggling Ganja Wrapped Around Body Nabbed in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Three persons from Maharashtra involved in smuggling ganja in an innovative way by wrapping it around their bodies were arrested in the Malkangiri district of Odisha. Around 38 Kg of contraband was seized from the possession of the arrested persons.

These three men were nabbed by the personnel of the Orkel police station, while they were waiting for some vehicle near Chittarakonda road. During search, they were found to have wrapped packets of ganja to their bodies.

The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Fiazan (25) and Yashmin Nagar from Ulistan Nagar village, and Sheik Sharik (45) from Yashmin Nagar village, in Maharashtra’s Amaravati district.

Police have identified Sunadhar Khilla from Chitrakonda as the supplier of the ganja.

A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered and further investigation is underway.
