One of the Escapees from Titlagarh Sub-Jail Nabbed in Delhi

Titlagarh: One of the two under-trial prisoners (UTPs), who escaped from the Titlagarh sub-jail in Balangir district, was arrested by police from the Sumit Vihar area in Delhi. A manhunt is on to nab the other UTP.

The two escapees were identified as Sumit Bihari, and Shobhavan Rana. They were lodged in the sub-jail in separate murder cases. Sushobhan Rana, a self-proclaimed tantrik, was arrested for allegedly murdering two children as part of his occult practice. Sumit Bihari had killed a toddler by throwing him into a well on Kesinga Hospital premises.

These two under-trials escaped after climbing wall of the prison with the help of a ladder. The CCTV footage of the camera installed was missing. Jailer Chaitanya Pradhan had filed a complaint with Titilagarh police station in this regard.

A jail warden of the Titlagarh sub-jail was suspended for dereliction of duty following the incident.
