Mohammad Kaif Lauds Visually Challenged Cricketers Ahead of World Games Debut

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has praised the courage of visually challenged cricketers ahead of their debut at the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games 2023 in Birmingham.

The Indian team will compete alongside 70 countries in various sports, including powerlifting, judo, goalball, football, chess, tenpin bowling, shooting, showdown, archery, tennis, and blind cricket.

The Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) has announced the captains for both the men’s and women’s teams and unveiled the jerseys ahead of their World Games debut.

CABI Chairman, Dr. Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar, expressed excitement about sending both teams to the IBSA World Games, saying it provides an essential platform for blind cricketers to showcase their skills at the highest level.

The General Secretary of CABI, Shailender Yadav, expressed gratitude to IBSA for including Blind Cricket in the World Games, marking a new beginning for all the blind cricketers.

The Indian blind cricket team aims to make a significant impact on its maiden appearance at the World Games, and Kaif’s presence at the event boosted the athletes’ morale. He urged everyone to support the team and wished them success in the tournament.
